2nd week of POL-ITE games 07/08 has just concluded. It was a successful week for TEAM RP, especially yesterday, friday, the 20th July 2007.

We came, We battled, We conquered against NP, both (M) & (F) teams came out 3-2 winners. there were a total of 4 deciding ties, 1 ladies singles and 3 mens singles.

On the mens side, both doubles lost with a 2-9, 7-9 favour to NP. It was all up to, like how we like to call it 'the 3 singles' , ernest, wenhao and myself to clinch the tie for RP. Lineup was, myself playing first, followed by wenhao and ernest playing last. The three of us, won with a 9-4, 9-5, 9-5 scoreline respectively. It was certainly a moral boosting victory going into the match against SP next week.

The girls did not let history repeat itself after going 2-0 up from both doubles and Ms Jaimie Toi clinched the deciding tie with a 9-7 victory over 'batman' (laughs). TEAM RP was certainly in full force cheering her on to win!

The atmosphere and fighting spirit showed by us today was a bliss to watch and experience. Though some lost their matches, the effort and determination that was displayed from everyone, certainly deserved an A grade, even to those who weren't playing as they did their share by supporting and encouraging!

To end this post, i would like to applaud my team on the fantastic display of tennis, fighting spirit and encouragement on and off court, as without each and everyone of us, be it playing or supporting, we wouldn't have made it through today! and it's something i myself as captain am very happy and proud of, to see the team come together as one, with one common goal, and that is to fight and win!

i love you guys and girls!

RP VAMOS!
